Applied Biosystems/MDS Sciex and Advanced Chemistry Development in Technology Alliance
February 1, 2001 Toronto.
Applied Biosystems/MDS Sciex (formerly PE SCIEX) and Advanced Chemistry Development are pleased to announce a collaboration to provide high level interoperability.
Now the Analyst software package, which acquires and provides quantitative processing of mass spec data for Applied Biosystems/MDS Sciex instruments, offers a special "transfer" function which is used to send the active Analyst spectrum to the ACD/MS Manager application.
"ACD is proud to be associated with MDS Sciex as part of a growing line-up of best-in-class solutions for the chemical and pharmaceutical industry", stated Antony Williams, Ph.D., Director of Business Development at ACD.
With its ability to associate structures, perfom manual and automated fragment assignment and create structure searchable databases, ACD/MS Manager features the ability to support RAW FILE formats from primary MS instrument manufacturers such as Applied Biosystems/MDS Sciex.
Further details on the "transfer" function in Analyst and an example of its use are shown at: http://www.acdlabs.com/products/spec_lab/exp_spectra/ms/analyst.html
Applied Biosystems/MDS Sciex is a manufacturer of state-of-the-art mass spectrometers, and Advanced Chemistry Development is the provider of state-of-the-art spectroscopic management software including a special module for mass spec datasets. Both parties look forward to an excellent ongoing working relationship.
