GERMANY, FEBRUARY 14, 2000. ADVANCED CHEMISTRY DEVELOPMENT IS PLEASED TO
ANNOUNCE AN AGREEMENT WITH BASF AKTIENGESELLSCHAFT WHICH ALLOWS A WORLDWIDE
INSTALLATION OF ACD/IUPAC NAME WITHIN BASF.
In recent years a number of computer software programs promising systematic
naming capabilities have been delivered to the marketplace. Foremost among
these are Advanced Chemistry Development's IUPAC Name and Index Name
software packages, which offer systematic naming according to either IUPAC
rules or CAS Index rules. Our professional naming products place an emphasis
on naming important and complex structures correctly. To be in accordance
with the IUPAC recommendations, we even participate directly in the work of
the IUPAC Commission on Nomenclature of Organic Chemistry.
