Advanced Chemistry Development NMR spectral and physicochemical databases launched on ChemWeb.com
Toronto, Ontario - March 5, 2001 - Six NMR spectral and physical property databases from Advanced Chemistry Development (ACD) are now live on ChemWeb.com.
The fully searchable databases launched on the site include: pKa - over 8,900 structures with over 23,000 experimental values under different temperatures and ionic strengths in purely aqueous solutions; LogP (11,886 compounds with experimental logP values collected from different sources); HNMR (c.100,000 structures); CNMR (c.100,000 compounds); FNMR (c.11,500 compounds); PNMR (c.18,500 compounds).
Bill Town, Director of Operations, ChemWeb, Inc., said, "We are delighted that the first phase of our collaboration with ACD/Labs is now complete."
Antony Williams, Vice President of Scientific Development and Marketing, Advanced Chemistry Development Inc., said: "Matching the power and capabilities of our structure drawing tools, both Java and PC, to the submission and access of chemical structures via the ChemWeb.com site, will allow ChemWeb.com users to gain access to our industry standard toolset. Our relationship with ChemWeb is an exciting opportunity to allow a larger audience to avail themselves of our capabilities since we look upon ILab as the gateway to an expanding suite of prediction tools and chemical property and spectral databases."

Advanced Chemistry Development, Inc. (ACD/Labs) has positioned itself as the leading developer of systematic naming, chemical property prediction and spectral and chromatographic prediction, processing and management software. The mission of Advanced Chemistry Development is to provide clients with powerful yet easy-to-use tools which systematize the wealth of scientific knowledge among the many branches of chemistry, biochemistry, pharmacology, and chemical structure handling, using the methods of mathematics and computer science. Based in Toronto, Canada, Advanced Chemistry Development were the first company to deliver integrated Java Applet technology for chemical structure drawing and results display from an integrated prediction tools suite, ILab. ILab-II was recently announced which integrates their free PC-based structure drawing application, ACD/ChemSketch (http://www.acdlabs.com) to their web-based prediction service.
ChemWeb, Inc. produces the premier online community for the world's chemistry researchers, ChemWeb.com, which delivers complete information resources for chemical research and communication via the Web to over 250,000 members worldwide. It is the first commercial Web service to combine electronic publishing, databases, journals, and scientific forums, along with informatics technologies for structure-based searching, high-speed text retrieval, and manipulation of "live" molecular structures.
