Make Your Lectures Unforgettable!
| Make your lectures unforgettable using ACD/Labs' many tools! Demonstrate the fundamentals of tautomerism, chemical conformations, systematic naming, physical chemistry properties, NMR spectra, and retention times through interactive lectures that make the learning experience more memorable, and the teaching experience more rewarding. |
Here's a short list of how ACD/Labs software can help you achieve your teaching and research goals:
- Prepare interactive lectures
Spruce up your lectures and produce attractive overheads using ACD/ChemSketch. Save preparation time by using ACD/Dictionary, a key component of ChemSketch, during your lecture to quickly access common real-life molecules searchable by name and structure. Interactively show students the structures in 3D using ACD/3D Viewer.
- Use the Internet to stimulate interest in chemistry
Let ACD/Labs Online (I-Lab) help your students fully grasp key concepts taught in class, as well as provide a convenient look-up of chemical information.
- Create professional lab manuals and lecture notes
Grab attention with sharp, fresh documents using the reporting features and extensive list of pre-defined templates in ACD/ChemSketch.
- Keep track of your chemical structure data
Use ACD/ChemFolder to organize chemical structures, reactions, graphics, properties, text, and other data into an easily-searchable chemical database. ChemFolder comes equipped with ACD/ChemSketch, making it possible to seamlessly incorporate data into lectures, presentations, and reports.
- Increase the productivity of your research
Use professional ACD/Labs software at academic prices to help you simplify your research-related tasks and gain consistency and accuracy in your work. Learn more about how researchers are using our tools.
- Name Structures with Ease
Our industry-leading IUPAC naming products matches different levels of interest
in nomenclature. The ACD/ChemSketch
freeware generates accurate systematic names for simple molecules at the
click of a button and is a great learning tool. For larger molecules encountered
in more serious research efforts, ACD/Name
Chemist Version will generate an accurate name from a structure, or generate
a structure from a name with similar ease but greater capabilities in an affordable
manner.
Teach and Report with ACD/Labs!
Use Advanced Chemistry Development's NMR predictive software or I-Lab services with ChemSketch as a teaching tool in your course. Several universities have already integrated our software with their courses.

Application Notes
View the Application Note, "Teaching 2D NMR Spectroscopy Using Software Tools" written by Ryan Sasaki and Dr. Eugene Mazzola in December, 2005. By using ACD/2D NMR Predictor instructors can generate simulated 2D NMR spectra for use in visual aids, problems sets, assignments, and examinations. Instructors will no longer have to rely on the "classical" examples used over and over again in textbooks! Download the Note in PDF format (349 Kb) or MS Word format (726 Kb ZIP file).
View the Technical Note "Create customized submission forms or reports" written by Dr. Robin Martin in January, 2002. ACD/ChemSketch, ACD/Data Forms Manager and ACD/ChemBasic can be used together to create easy-to-use report/submission forms. Design templates to ensure that students provide the required information on assignments, labs, reports, quizzes, etc. Download the Note in PDF format (116 Kb) or MS Word format (154 Kb ZIP file).

Presentations
View the presentation "Software tools to enhance the educational experience in the classroom and laboratory" given by Dr. Robin Martin in May, 2001 at the CSC Conference & Exhibition in Montreal, Canada. Read the summary, download the presentation in PDF format (778 Kb) or MS Power Point 97/2000 format (652 Kb ZIP file).
