ACD/I-Lab presents a new version of the structure editor -
ACD/MolX Control.
Now you can install ACD/MolX Control locally on your
workstation and use this software to draw and edit chemical
structures instead of Java applet.

ACD/I-Lab presents History option of the HTML-client.
Now you can start calculation and disconnect from I-Lab,
but your calculation will not be canceled. Server will save the
results and you will be able to access them via History
next time you log in to I-Lab.
The History option can be found on the top toolbar
when you are logged in to I-Lab.
Notes:
- You cannot access calculation results obtained by ChemSketch
client via History .
- You are charged for chargeable calculations first time when
the results are downloaded by you. All subsequent downloads
of these results are free.
- You will not be charged for calculations performed but not
viewed.
- The server stores the results of calculations performed
by individual users for at least 24 hours. Old results are
removed automatically and cannot be restored.
- The time for keeping results on the I-Lab server can be
changed (prolongated) but only for Site License owners
and 3d-party Servers integrated with I-Lab.
- If you are a Site License user you can access calculated
results via History only when you are logged in with the correct
profile key specified. History is attached to your own profile.
See Site License login page for details.

Now you can install I-Lab Structure Drawing applet and Spectrum
Viewer applet locally on your workstation.
Just go to the http://ilab.acdlabs.com,
click on the Local applets option at the bottom of the
left menu and follow the instructions.
If the applet is installed locally to the client workstation,
it starts in a few seconds, since it does not depend on the
speed of your Internet connection.
Notes:
- Local Applets can work improperly due to the non-standard
configuration of the software installed on the client workstation.
- The local applets are provided as is.
ACD/Labs provides no guarantees on their successful operation,
and provides no technical support on them.

ACD/I-Lab presents upgrade of the most popular services.
New versions of the NMR services (4.5), LogP
DB and pKa DB (4.01) are available:
- Our databases contain many more structures then before;
- Our database search algorithms work faster, especially for
combined searches;
- We implemented search by Name and Reference in CNMR
DB, HNMR DB, PNMR DB, FNMR DB. Try it both from your favourite
HTML Browser or from ChemSketch - our Windows client of I-Lab;
- Try our new improved 13C and 1H spectrum
prediction programs. Be the first in your group to run them!
Good news for users of I-Lab who visit us via HTML Browser. Now
you can send to the Structure editor/viewer ANY structure
you see on the screen as a GIF image. Just click on the Put
Structure... button.
14 April 2000 -
ACD/I-Lab presents SMILES conversion utility.
You can:
- get SMILES notation of a molecule drawn or loaded
in Structure Editor/Viewer;
- generate molecule from SMILES string;
- put generated molecule to the Structure Editor/Viewer;
Login and simply click on the lively face SMILing to you
a happy SMILE from the top I-Lab operations toolbar.
13 April 2000 -
ACD/I-Lab presents light version of the I-Lab molecule container
- Structure Viewer.
You can use it instead of Structure Drawing Applet
when using I-Lab services and doing molecule format conversions.
It is useful for users with slow (modem) Internet connection.
No need to wait for the Java Structure Drawing applet to download
anymore !
It can be useful for Mac users. No bugs of Java for Mac !
Just load a molecule to the Structure Viewer and you
will see the image of the structure loaded from your workstation.
You can switch between Structure Editor Applet and Structure
Viewer in the Login page.
23 March 2000 -
ACD/I-Lab presents an Open Server Affiliation Service.
Now you can integrate our I-Lab calculation engines
with your Web site and Services.
Contact the I-Lab Administrator at ilab@acdlabs.com to

New ACD/IUPAC Name Free service is included into ACD/I-Lab.
You can find it in the Naming group.
ACD/IUPAC Name Free generates accurate systematic names
according to IUPAC rules with the following restrictions.
Restrictions:
- This special free version of ACD/Labs software can treat
the structures with no more than 50 atoms.
- Only the following atoms are allowed: C, H, N, P, O, S,
F, Cl, Br, I, Li, Na, K.
As a basis for generating systematic names, ACD/IUPAC Name
Free uses the IUPAC
recommendations.

is included into the HTML interface
We have implemented a personalized Welcome Page with
the following information:
- Balance Value and Credit Limit.
- List of subscriptions finished over last two days and subscriptions
that will finish during next day.
We have also added information about active subscription into
a service page. Select any service and you will see the corresponding
transaction charge of the calculation or the date when the subscription
to that service will finish. Now if you are submitting a chargeable
request, additional confirmation is required from you, so you
can easily see whether the subscription is over or not.
