Genteon, Inc., founded in November 2000, is engaged in the development, manufacturing and commercialization of high performance scientific instruments. The San Diego-based Company has assembled a team of engineers, scientists, and business professionals with extensive experience in the research, development, manufacturing, marketing, and servicing of laboratory systems. Initially, Genteon will focus on the field of genomics with the development of a high-throughput capillary electrophoresis system for the analysis of DNA, the Capella 400. Utilizing proprietary chemistry and unique analytical software, the system will be marketed for use in DNA fragment length analysis and genotyping including single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) and restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) analysis. Genteon also plans to develop and market new systems for proteomics and biochemistry applications.
