Advanced Chemistry Development and Sirius Analytical Instruments

Sirius Analytical Instruments Ltd (Sirius), designer and manufacturer of innovative instruments for analytical chemistry announces their collaboration with Advanced Chemistry Development. Under an agreement with Sirius Analyticals, ACD/Labs Inc. is preparing a special version of our Spectral/Chromatographic databasing software to allow databasing of curves associated with the data generated by the Sirius GLpKa instrument. This instrument is used to measure the physicochemical parameters pKa and logP, which are used in pharmaceutical drug design and development. GLpKa can be found in the research and development departments of most major pharmaceutical companies. This integration, when completed, will allow users of the ACD/Labs software to draw, edit and associate chemical structures directly to the measured curves that are being generated by the instrument. This special version of ACD/Labs software will be able to import measured results obtained using Sirius instrumentation, which can then be processed into a clear and publishable report containing curve, structure, tables, text etc. A seamless interface with the ChemSketch drawing tool allows you to attach any chemical structure to the curve and generation of reports with graphical objects that can be effortlessly cut and pasted into standard word processors. The database capability gives high-level organization of curves and structures in a single package you can have instant access to all linked files. The parameters field allows read-only access to acquistion conditions, details of analysis, etc. The database can be searched according to structure, structure fragment, molecular formula, formula weight, acquisition parameter, and user-defined data values, text strings, etc.

We look forward to an excellent ongoing working relationship with Sirius Analytical Instruments.
