Dr. Brian C. Smith is the Founder and Principal of Spectros Associates. Since 1992, thousands of scientists have benefitted from his infrared spectroscopy and scientific software training courses. He has extensive experience developing and delivering technical training courses to a wide variety of audiences. Dr. Smith has over 20 years of experience as an industrial chemist, having worked for such companies as Xerox, IBM, AT&T Bell Labs, Waters Inc., and Bio-Rad. He is the author of two popular books on infrared spectroscopy, Fundamentals of FT-IR and Infrared Spectral Interpretation, published by CRC Press. Dr. Smith gives training courses in several well known scientific software packages to hundreds of scientists annually.

Dr. Smith earned a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Dartmouth College, and graduated summa cum laude from Rochester Institute of Technology with a B.S. in Chemistry. Please feel free to contact Dr. Smith directly:
