Advanced Chemistry Development and the University of Akron |
Advanced Chemistry Development, Inc. enjoys a unique relationship with
collaborators from the University of Akron. Presently Advanced Chemistry Development is actively
pursuing the compilation of database modules which can plug-in to the NMR Manager software that is proving to be one of the most
successful Advanced Chemistry Development products released to date. As a result of our close
collaborations and aggressive schedule, expect to see a number of new and
unique full spectral curve NMR databases released throughout 1998 to
address the gaps that have existed in the marketplace for many years.
The present relationship involves exchange of information and feedback
to support the present directions of our products.
The University of Akron's Molecular Spectroscopy Laboratory is providing
Advanced Chemistry Development with NMR spectra of monomers and polymers for incorporation into a
polymer NMR database. These include spectra of non-proprietary commercial
and research materials which have been accumulated over the past 15-20
years. Although the spectra cover applications in many areas of polymer
science, there are extensive collections of data which should be of
interest to those working on addition polymerization, vinyl polymers,
rubber, and other elastomers.
H-1 and C-13 spectra were obtained on 200, 300, 400, 600 and 750 MHz
spectrometers. When available, they include data from other
characterization methods (such as Tg, MW, etc.), resonance assignments, and
literature references to resonance assignments and preparation.
