ACD/Curve Manager
What's New
General Processing and Visualization Features
- Selectively show/hide analytical traces in series
- Copy shown-data from series to their own window
- Apply custom coloration schemes to series more easily
- Manually zoom on curve feature of interest
- Interactively apply offset through the series display
Databasing Features (SpecDB Module)
- Easily review x-ray powder diffraction search results in the Processor window for increased reviewing and comparison power
- Store chromatograms, spectra, and curves in a record with their respective set of chemical structure attachments
- Push data in the database Table view directly to Excel
Automation
- Automatically apply macros across all selected analytical files in the Processor window
- New macro commands:
- Delete a specified analytical type from database records using a macro
- Copy only the shown spectra/curves in a series to their own window macro
- Set database update options quickly to custom preferences using a macro

Processing and Analysis Features
- Use relative curve series offset to auto-adjust the offset used in accordance to the data set size.
- Conveniently lock the default window display range to an area of interest. Easily toggle between the full view to lock the display range, facilitating global and detailed analyses.
- Draw or fit lines to curves for DSC, TGA, porosity, potentiometry data, and more:
- Determine intersection points between lines to determine onset and endset points.
- Obtain the midpoints for intermediate lines.
Databasing
- Perform spectral searches for databases of X-Ray Powder Diffraction or Fluorescence spectra.
- Better organize your data with the new X-Ray data type introduced for x-ray powder diffraction and fluorescence type spectra.
- Merge the results of Multiple Database Searches into a shared result database.
- Easily include images found in database records into your custom reports.
- Within the active database list, selectively process curves (XRPD, TGA, DSC, etc.) to the exclusion of associated NMR, MS, optical-like spectra, or chromatograms, also found in the database records.
- Exploit the improved macro ability to trigger appropriate custom data entry forms based on data set content recognition criteria.
Processing and Analysis Features
- Gain greater clarity and insight by applying overlaid curve offsets to analytical series to better spot trends.
- Simplify annotations of complex analytical curves with multiple annotation layers.
- Link data from related techniques in a clear hierarchical system:
- Live curve data can be linked directly to a single data point or peak within a chromatogram, spectrum, or another analytical curve.
- Import TA Instrument data files with the updated format specifications.
- Import x-ray powder diffraction data in STOE format.
General Features
- Enhance spectrum identification through the windowpane information display of key information.
Databasing
- Use well plate navigation support for remote ACD/SpecManager Enterprise databases.
- Select database records interactively in Tile or Table view.
- Systematically effect changes in user data values across a given database list:
- Update or replace user data field.
- Derive calculated values from the existing user data according to custom data scripting:
- Apply mathematical, logical, or comparison operators to create a new user data field.
- Flag records with null or incongruous data.
- Identify records meeting a set of criteria.
- Store and display BMP, JPEG, GIF, and PNG image files with your analytical curve. This is particularly useful to match images of a well with its spectra or analytical curves.
Processing and Analysis Features
- Enhanced support for hyphenated data
- Import and visualize TGA/IR or other types of hyphenated data involving curves
- Import x-ray diffraction data files from
- Bruker DIFFRAC-AT and DIFFRAC-PLUS instrument formats
- PANalytical (formerly Philips Analytical) instrument formats
- Enhance Macro capabilities
- Get user data and assigns it to a variable for further treatment
- Attach, search, and process inorganic transition metal complexes structure objects to the spectra
General Features
- Preview curves in a thumbnail window when importing or exporting
- Dock zoom window where you choose
- Close active analytical curve through a Close Document button
- Zoom vertically with the mouse wheel
