File Splitter Utility

Go to the Micromass web site

We provide a utility for splitting up MassLynx projects for easy update to ACD/SpecDB.

ACD/Labs File Splitter is included with ACD/MS Manager versions 4.5 and later. It is designed for splitting up MassLynx and OpenLynx rpt files into the separate constituent mass spectra, in the form of the (ACD/Labs format) .esp files.

MassLynx

The utility, ACD/Labs File Splitter, can be found in the ACDX/Smfilter/Split_ms directory created at the time of installation. If your copy of ACD/MS Manager does not include "Splitter.exe" please contact Support.

Push Button Integration

In version 3.5 or later of MassLynx you can now find the link to ACD/MS Manager as a single button. Read the press release about the Waters-Micromass and ACD/Labs MassLynx Integration here.

In order to link properly, you will need to set up MassLynx to point to SpecManager. If you have a very recent version of MassLynx, you can simply browse to find the location of specman.exe. If you have a version of MassLynx compiled prior to April 2001, you will have to do this manually: find your masslynx.ini file (and administrator.ini file) in the MassLynx program directory and type in these lines (include the actual path name for specman.exe as it exists on your PC):

[SpeTools]
ACDSpecManager=C:\Program Files\ACD\specman.exe
