ACD/ChemSketch Freeware—New Version 11.0

ACD/Labs has been giving our popular chemical drawing software away for free since 1998, and the latest version 11.0 has just been released. ChemSketch is available to anyone for home or academic use, and can be downloaded free from our website. We encourage as many people as possible to download it because it is an excellent tool for students, educators, and anyone who needs to draw high-quality chemical structures for reports, publications, database searches, or even just for fun (see Celebrity Molecules http://www.reactivereports.com/studmol.html).

Version 11 contains several enhancements and upgrades, and also includes ACD/LogP Freeware (offered as a separate download for version 10).

Read more about ACD/ChemSketch Freeware and our policy of providing free site licenses to universities and academic institutions.

How South African Research Organization Uses Structure Elucidation

The Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) in South Africa undertakes directed research and development into drug and therapeutic discovery, the development of green technologies, and plant biotechnology

The research carried out in its biosciences unit is specifically geared towards ensuring that the country will develop its existing knowledge, apply new knowledge from life sciences in treating and/or preventing disease, manage ecosystems, and find more sustainable energy alternatives. Structure elucidation is an integral tool and so the CSIR purchased ACD/Structure Elucidator to help streamline their workflow and increase their productivity.

Find out more about how CSIR uses Structure Elucidator to facilitate their work.
