ACD/Labs 5th Annual European Users' Meeting 2004 (EUM)

Advanced 1D and 2D NMR Processing

Brent Lefebvre

Abstract

Many years of development time have been spent improving and adding functionality to ACD/Labs 1D and 2D NMR Processor. This makes it difficult for a user to explore and use all of the functionality that is available. In this presentation, we hope to educate and inform as much as possible. Due to time constraints however, only a few key features will be shown in detail.

Quanalyst for 1D NMR is more than a single advanced feature. It is an advanced feature tool set that allows the user to quantify, measure, or locate anything in a spectrum in an automated or batch way. It also delivers the ability to then use this information in a graphical or textual format.

In 2D NMR, the ability to transfer assignments from one spectrum to any other is an invaluable tool. For users of 2D NMR Processor, an assignment of a chemical shift to an atom only ever needs to be done once! No more duplication of work in multiple spectra. Transfer the knowledge you have encoded on a single spectrum to countless others of the same structure. Our unique structurally intelligent tools have made this workflow a reality.

Other example applications of advanced tools to real life problems will be demonstrated. Specifics on how they can be used effectively will be shown as well.
