ACD/Labs Online: Providing NMR Prediction and Databases to an Entire Campus
Ryan Sasaki
Abstract
ACD/Labs Online is ACD/Labs' Internet-based portal that allows anyone with an internet connection access to all ACD/Labs 1D NMR prediction software and databases (1H, 13C, 15N, 19F, and 31P), chemical structure naming software, and physicochemical property prediction software and databases (pKa, logP, logD, aqueous solubility, boiling point, etc.). Many organizations around the world have chosen this option of deploying our prediction software as it avoids the need to purchase dozens of desktop licenses to accommodate all of the students, staff, and faculty who desire access to the software. Furthermore, it avoids any potential IT licensing headaches.
This talk will provide a detailed description of this product along with several of the success stories that allowed organizations like Carnegie Mellon University, Stanford University, University of Michigan, University of Toronto, Oxford University, and others to provide site-wide access to our prediction algorithms and databases via an Internet service.
