A Web Based Solution for Sample Submission and Retrieval of Spectra for NMR Research Centers
Scott MacDonald, Karim Kassam, Brent Lefevbre
Abstract
Unfortunately, not every academic or industrial institution has on-site access to high field or complex NMR instruments. Because of this, a number of academic institutions have become regional NMR centers providing both "walk-up" instrument access, in addition to accepting samples for expert analysis. As you can well imagine, these machines and the NMR facility's members are in high demand. Issues involving rerunning and reprocessing experiments, answering routine questions regarding the status of submitted samples, and preparing reports can all work against NMR facility staff members working efficiently.
This presentation will outline how an NMR research centre can enable their users, both on and off campus, to view the status of their submitted samples as well as search, view, and download spectra and reports from previous experiments through their web browser.
