Project Management in Method Development Suite 10.0
Mike McBrien
Abstract
Even simple chromatographic method development projects can generate a huge amount of data associated with large numbers of injections and hyphenated detection techniques. Typically, the extraction of elution data from this material has required a great deal of effort. Additionally, the transfer of this elution information to modeling tools has typically been a rather manual process, putting the onus on the chromatographer to carefully transfer data between systems. The result is a system that is difficult to maintain, with many potential error points, and no capacity for clear connection of the decision-making process with the raw data. Method Development Suite 10.0 now offers full method development project management, linking hyphenated processing tools (both manual and automated) directly to decision-making software. This system enables even the most rigorous method development, with full support even for multiple subsamples injected under the same conditions and treated as a single separation problem.
