How to Combine UV-MS Analysis with Advanced Data Interpretation and Organization to Develop More Rigorous Methods, Fast

One of the largest challenges facing modern chromatographers is the problem of method development for detection and quantitation of impurities and degradants in samples associated with stability studies. The inherited problems relate to the overall length of the project, detection of low-level species, and chromatographic peak tracking across sets of tested conditions.

Modern instrumentation and software has enabled the fast, easy collection of the systematic experiments required for rigorous characterization of multidimensional experimental systems. However, this has shifted the bottleneck of method development from data collection to data interpretation, since software optimization packages require the tracking of all components across all sets of conditions. Hyphenated detection, including LC/DAD and LC/MS, offer critical information as to the identity of components in subsequent injections. There is a need for information management associated with method development.

In this session, you will learn how new technologies can help you:

  • Reliably track chromatographic peaks from run to run, even with significant changes in conditions.
  • Organize and manage the large amount of data collected over the course of a project.
  • Quickly develop rigorous stability-indicating methods, and decrease method development time by up to 80%.
