Pharma IQ Conference and ACD/Labs Interactive Workshop
Thistle Selfridge, London, UK
June 28-30, 2006
Attend Pharma IQ's second annual conference "Improving Solubility in Drug Candidates" and participate in ACD/Labs' interactive workshop
Register for the Workshop
Participants of Workshop C, hosted by ACD/Labs, will learn how to evaluate structural modifications of compounds through an understanding of physicochemical properties such as pKa and logP values, and how to generate a set of focused chemical analogues that should exhibit improved solubility. This session will include a live demonstration of using predictive software as a guide in property-based structure design to achieve specific physicochemical and ADME goals for optimized performance of lead compounds.
The main Conference focuses on modern advances in the areas of measuring, predicting, and enhancing solubility to make effective development decisions for poorly soluble compounds. It covers the following aspects:
- Measure and predict solubility early for effective developability assessments
- Improve in-vivo testing to identify potential absorption and formulation issues
- Understand the physiology of the GI tract to improve absorption and bioavailability
- Optimize salt and polymorph selection to enhance dissolution rates
- Evaluate different solubilising technologies and their limitations to improve your selection approaches
- Implement supercritical fluid technology to stabilize amorphous materials
- Understand the IP landscape to ensure patent protection and extend product lifecycles
